This season The Amazing Race Asia has come to end. Last season, it kicked off at Malaysia, ended up at Kuching, Malaysia and the winner was also from Malaysia. This time around, the history repeats itself. It started at Singapore, ended up at Singapore, and Singaporean team won the race. What a coincidence!

Colin & Andrian, the underdog who came in second in most of the leg, finally won The Amazing Race Asia Season 2 and brought home the grand prize of USD 100,000. The sisters from Malaysia, Pamela & Vanessa came in second and the fan favourite, Marc & Rovilson ended up third.

Some says, knowledge is power. I agree 100%! That’s what separate the teams especially in the last task. Even though going into the last task of the race in first, Marc & Rovilson couldn’t take advantage on that.

Rovilson had problem recognising the flag of the countries that they had visited through out the race hence Pam & Vanessa and Adrian & Collin got passed them.

Congratulation to Adrian & Collin. It shows that even with disability, if you put a lot of effort, determination and never give up attitude, you will achieve what you want.

While for Marc & Rovilson, I feel sad about them. Even though they did not win, they have already won the heart of the fans with their characters. As for Pam & Vanessa, god jobs girls! You made all Malaysians proud!

At the pitstop 12 at South Africa, we already have our season finale. Top 3 teams for this leg will automatically become this season finale participant. They are Marc & Rovilson, Adrian & Collin and Pam & Vanessa. These 3 teams will compete for the grand prize next week!

Teams now left Hungary and headed to Cape Town, South Africa. As usual, when it comes to air travel, teams that were left behind will have ample time to catch up with the leader of the race.

Adrian & Collin yet again tried to find some early departure via Internet. But unfortunately, they were unlucky this time. Other teams went straight to the airport and found out that there was no direct flight to Cape Town. All teams decided to go to Frankfurt to get their connection flight, excluding the moms. Ann & Diane decided to take some risk by getting into flight that has confirmed seats. So they took London-Cape Town instead.

Upon arriving at Cape Town, they had to drive to Signal Hill for their next clue. Adrian & Collin had difficulties in getting their car started and took 15 minutes to figure it out with the help from the local.

Next clue lead them to Killarney Motor Racing Circuit and RoadBlock was waiting for them. One teammate must drive a 412 horsepower single seated race car for 8 laps. For the first 4 laps, Vanessa drove very slow, this made Marc & Rovilson to catch up. Luckily, Pam & Vanessa finished it first.

Teams now must headed to Community Project and need to paint some house for charity work. Even though first to departure from the circuit, Pam & Vanessa were third to arrive here.

Next task was a Detour, In One End or Out The Other. In In One End, teams must prepare 100kg of food and feed them to the elephants. In Out The Other, teams must clean out the elephant stalls of the elephant dung, using the tools provided and on to a marked area.

All teams chose Out The Other since it is much easier. Without any problem, they finished their task and headed for the pitstop.

Who will be in the winner of The Amazing Race Asia Season 2?

After what I’ve seen so far, Marc & Rovilson are the favourite since they are in pole position next week and I think they deserve the grand prize. This team brings some excitement in this race with their humor, spirit and fun to watch. 

Congratulation also to Ann & Diane, even though they are moms and older than any remaining teams, but still can give others a run for their money

Adrian & Collin now are leading the race. Teams now must search for Little Princess Statue for their next clue, but no information on where its located. Most of the teams tried to ask hotel’s staff for info. At this time, Marc & Rovilson managed to catch up with Adrian & Collin at the clue box.

Fast Forward came up next, and both teams decided to try it. The task was to count the vertical bars at Elizabeth Bridge. The correct asnwer will lead them for their next clue and skip all tasks, head straight to the pitstop.

Adrian & Collin managed to get the correct answer and got their next clue. This made Marc & Rovilson scrambled back to the other task. As for Adrian & Collin, they now can go straight to the pitstop at Gillert Hill Citadel which made them first to arrive.

Marc & Rovilson now had to race with the remaining teams and the gap was close. The next task, teams must now go to Buda Castle. RoadBlock was waiting for them. One teammate must enter the labyrinth and search the treasure chests for their next clue.

All teams did successfully completed this task, and their next clue was to leave their car and locate Margaret Island. There, teams must then ride a pedicab, and find the home of Saint Margaret. There, they must pick up a souvenir and return with it to the pedicab man for their next clue.

At this stage, Ann & Diane were so close with Marc & Rovilson but the Phillipines managed to beat the moms for their next clue. Teams now must headed to Hero Square, and caution….Yield Ahead! Coming in second, Marc & Rovilson had to yield Ann & Diane because had been told perhaps by Paula & Natasha. So they had to wait there.

Next task was a Detour, Say It or Play It. In Say It, teams must pronounce the names of the 14 kings whose statues are erected in the square. In Play It, teams must solve the six colour sides of a Rubix Cube, one colour at a time. They must also alternative colours between team members

All teams did their task without a hinch. The next clue was a clue they had been waiting for, instruction to the next pitstop. Since Paula & Natasha were the last teams to arrive, they had been eliminated from the race…

With 4 teams left, who will be in the top 3 next week?

Classification at Pit Stop No 10 (Hungary)

All teams now were headed to Budapest, Hungary by train. They discovered that the earliest train to Budapest was at 7.30am which is a direct service. Adrian & Collin were on the other hand, check the schedule online and then discovered that, they are one train leave at 5am but headed to Vienna first then Budapest. This will gave them one and half hour jumpstart ahead of other team.

Once arrived at Budapest, Adrian & Collin managed to get the next clue first uncontested. They now have to find way to Batthyany Square for the next clue. From there, they need to self drive to Magyar Farm using a marked car. Paula and Vanessa were having problem since they were not used to drive a manual car.

At Magyar Farm, teams must choose between Pitch or Pull for their Detour. In Pitch, teams must load a donkey cart full of hay using a pitch fork. They must then deliver it to a farmer for their next clue. In Pull, teams must pick a goat and milk 200ml of fresh milk from it, before receiving their next clue.

Once they completed their tasks, a RoadBlock was waiting for them. Teams need to go to Fun Extreme Canopy Park. One team member have to do Flying Fox that have been divided into sections. At each section, they was a number they need to memorize and sum up at the end. A correct sum is 1000 and teams with correct number will be given the next clue.

All teams except Marc & Rovilson, did their RoadBlock task twice. This gave them a chance to catch up. Their next clue was to drive to Hercules Fountain where they can get their next clue.

Once they located the Hercules Fountain and received the next clue, now it’s time to race to the pitstop. They must park their car at the marked area at the pitstop. This confused a lot of the teams, but Adrian & Collin managed the get in first for the first time.

As for the winner of this leg, Adrian & Collin won a Nokia N95 and Nokia N73 each.

For the 8th consecutive leg, Marc & Rovilson ended up first and for the 3rd time in a row Henry & Terry were the last team to arrive.

All teams headed to Petrin Hill in which they had to count the stairs at the Observation Tower. Teams with the correct answer will received the next clue. Adrian & Collin were the first team to arrive and completed the task.

Once completed, they went to Strecky Island. The task here was to row and navigate a boat with a guidance of a compass given. Here, Adrian & Collin had difficulties in rowing the boat thus allowing Marc & Rovilson and Pam & Vanessa to catch up.

Still Adrian & Collin managed completed it first and headed to Prague Castle in which the first Intersection of the race was waiting. In Intersection, teams must pair up with other team to complete the task until they have been instructed to split.

Adrian & Collin chose to pair with Marc & Rovilson. Pam & Vanessa were the 3rd team to arrive and decided to pair up with the moms, Ann & Diane. Unlucky for Paula & Natasha, who arrived 4th here had to wait for Henry & Terry. Henry & Terry at that time were just departing for the race. So Paula & Natasha had to wait for 5 hours.

The next task was to shoot goals at the Ice Hockey Arena then Detour came up. n this Detour, teams had to choose between Snap or Roll. In Snap teams must take a photograph of three historic monuments in Prague and bring them to the statue of Josef Manes for verification. In roll, teams must collect two 50 liter beer kegs and deliver them to the Admiral Boatel for their next clue.

Next, they were now have been released from the Intersection and now headed to swimming pool. A RoadBlock was waiting for them here. One team member must take a jump to the pool from 10 meter platform foot first.

All teams successfully completed this task without a breeze, except Pam & Vanessa. Vanessa was confused, experienced a temporary memory lost and her lips were bleeding. Might be the effect of the jump (concussion).

Now, it was a race to the pitstop in which Marc & Rovilson came in first, and Henry & Terry came in last and have been eliminated.

As for the winner of this leg, Marc & Rovilson won a Sony Handycam SR7 each.

p/s: Sad to see Vanessa in that situation. I hope she is ok. Thank God, the annoying couple has been eliminated… Now there are only 5 teams left.

Same old story as the previous leg, Marc & Rovilson ended up first and Henry & Terry were the last team to arrive.

All teams left Korea and headed to Frankfurt, Germany in four different flights. Marc & Rovilson were in the first and Henry & Terry were in the last flight.

As soon as they touched down at Frankfurt and get their clues, they need to hassle to Prague, Czech Republic for their next clue.

Here, all teams must find their next clue inside a Holey Statue on Charles Bridge. Most of the teams were having problem to find the Holey Statue.

There was one RoadBlock waiting for them at the Old Town Square. In this Roadblock, one team member had to don a full suit of knight armour and then walk around to look for a “damsel in distress”, who is standing on a balcony facing the Prince’s Hotel. Once teams find her, they have to tie the key to a rope which the “damsel” would exchange for their next clue.

Then they need to go to Beroun for their next clue. Here, a Detour waiting. In this Detour, teams had to choose between Bow or Blow. In Bow, each team member had to hit a coloured red-and-yellow target using a traditional crossbow. In Blow, teams had to use mechanical tools to cut a star-design on a number of glass bottoms. All teams except Paula & Natasha picked Bow.

After this Detour, all teams must check in to the Pitstop at Karlstejn Castle.

For the second consecutive legs, this was a non-elimination round and spared Henry & Terry yet again, but have to come in first for the next leg. Otherwise, a 30 minute penalty will be given to them.

As for the winner of this leg, Marc & Rovilson won another $5000 Standard Chartered Credit Card.
